The Third Charm (Korean: 제3의 매력) is a South Korean television series that aired on the JTBC network in 2018. Directed by Pyo Min-Soo and written by Park Hee-Kwon and Park Eun-Young, the drama follows the evolving relationship between two individuals, On Joon-Young and Lee Young-Jae, over a period of twelve years, from age 20 to 32.

Plot Overview

The narrative centers on the contrasting personalities of the two leads. On Joon-Young, portrayed by Seo Kang-Joon, is a meticulous and sensitive university student who values planning and order. In contrast, Lee Young-Jae, played by Esom, is characterized as spontaneous, emotional, and resilient. Having lost her parents, she relies on her older brother and works as a hairdresser's assistant to support herself. Their relationship begins after a chance meeting on a blind date during their youth.

The production held its first script reading in July 2018 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul. The series occupied the time slot previously held by ID: Gangnam Beauty and was followed by SKY Castle.
