The Story of Park's Marriage Contract (Korean: 열녀박씨 계약결혼뎐) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from November 24, 2023, to January 6, 2024. The series, which consists of 12 episodes, follows a fantasy-romance premise involving a woman from the 19th century who is transported to modern-day Seoul.
Plot
The narrative centers on Park Yeon-Woo (played by Lee Se-Young), a woman living in the 19th century. On her wedding night, her husband dies from a long-term heart condition. Following this tragedy, she is kidnapped and thrown into a well, only to awaken in present-day South Korea. She is rescued from a swimming pool by Kang Tae-Ha (played by Bae In-Hyuk), the successor to SH Seoul Corporation. Kang Tae-Ha, who suffers from childhood trauma and a heart condition, is pressured by his grandfather to marry before he dies. He proposes a contract marriage to Park Yeon-Woo, setting the stage for their complicated relationship.

Production
The drama is based on the webcomic Yeolnyeoparkssi Gyeyakgyeolhondyeon, which was originally written as a webnovel by Kim Neo-Wool. The webcomic version, written by Angelique and illustrated by Dadda, was first published on Naver on December 28, 2020. The television adaptation was directed by Park Sang-Hoon, with the screenplay written by Go Nam-Jung.
