The Stars Are Shining (Korean: 별이 되어 빛나리; RR: Byeoli Dwoieo Bitnari) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2. The series, which consists of 128 episodes, was broadcast from August 31, 2015, to February 26, 2016. It occupied the weekday 09:00–09:40 time slot on the network.

Plot

Set against the backdrop of the 1960s, the story follows Jo Bong-Hee, portrayed by Go Won-Hee. Following the death of her father, Bong-Hee's family faces significant financial and personal hardships. The narrative centers on her resilience as she navigates various obstacles to eventually establish herself as a prominent fashion designer in South Korea.

Production

The production held its first script reading on July 30, 2015, at the KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. This session covered the first ten episodes, which feature child actors portraying the younger versions of the main characters. While the lead actors were not required to attend, cast members Lee Ha-Yul, Seo Yoon-A, and Cha Do-Jin were present.

The series replaced In Still Green Days in its time slot and was succeeded by Flowers in My Heart on February 29, 2016.
