The Snow Queen (South Korean TV series)
The Snow Queen (Korean: 눈의 여왕; RR: Neunui Yeowang) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from November 13, 2006, to January 8, 2007. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot.
Production
The drama was directed by Lee Hyeong-min, with a screenplay written by Yoon Eun-kyung and Kim Eun-hee. It was produced by Ki Min-soo. The series took over the time slot previously occupied by Cloud Staircase and was succeeded by When Spring Comes on January 15, 2007.

Plot
The story follows Han Tae-woong (Hyun Bin), a young mathematical genius who experiences a profound personal tragedy after the suicide of his best friend and fellow prodigy, Kim Jeong-kyu (Lee Sun-ho). Following this event, Tae-woong abandons his academic life and struggles with guilt for eight years. At age 25, he works as a third-class boxer. During this time, he encounters Kim Bo-ra (Sung Yu-ri), a woman he had met briefly as a child. Bo-ra is portrayed as cold-hearted, and the narrative explores the emotional connection that develops between her and Tae-woong.
