The Slingshot (South Korean TV Series)
The Slingshot, also known by its literal title Story of a Man (Korean: 남자이야기), is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from April 6 to June 9, 2009. The series consists of 20 episodes and was directed by Yun Seong-Sik with a screenplay written by Song Ji-Na.

Plot
The narrative follows Kim Shin, portrayed by Park Yong-ha, a man from a wealthy family whose life is upended when his father's company is forced into bankruptcy due to a conspiracy orchestrated by the TS Group. Following his father's subsequent suicide, Kim Shin transforms from a carefree playboy into a determined, cold-headed M&A expert. He seeks revenge against the TS Group, specifically targeting its president. During his pursuit, he encounters Do Jae-myeong and discovers that the true architect behind the corporate corruption is the president's son, Chae Do-wu, played by Kim Kang-woo. The series explores their complex rivalry and the intersecting lives of those around them, including Seo Gyeong-a and Chae Eun-su.
