The Sheriff in Town (2017 Film)
The Sheriff in Town (Korean: 보안관; RR: Boangwan) is a 2017 South Korean comedy-crime film directed by Kim Hyung-Joo. The film follows the story of a former detective who takes it upon himself to act as the self-appointed sheriff of his local neighborhood in Busan.

Plot
Dae-Ho (Lee Sung-Min), a former detective, maintains a vigilant watch over his neighborhood, considering himself the local sheriff. When Jong-Jin (Cho Jin-Woong), a successful businessman from Seoul, moves into the area, Dae-Ho becomes suspicious of his intentions. Convinced that the newcomer is involved in illegal drug activity, Dae-Ho begins an investigation, enlisting the help of his brother-in-law, Duk-Man (Kim Sung-Kyun).
Production
The film was directed by Kim Hyung-Joo, who also served as the writer. Principal photography for the production commenced on July 9, 2016, and concluded on October 15, 2016. The film was distributed by Lotte Entertainment and released in South Korea on May 3, 2017, with a total runtime of 115 minutes.
