The Royal Tailor (Korean: 상의원; RR: Sanguiwon) is a 2014 South Korean period drama film directed by Lee Won-suk. The film explores the professional rivalry and personal conflicts between two master tailors working within the Sanguiwon, the royal department responsible for the attire of the Joseon Dynasty monarchy.

Plot
The narrative centers on the tension between Dol-seok (Han Suk-kyu), a veteran master artisan who adheres strictly to traditional rules, and Kong-jin (Ko Soo), a talented young designer with a natural flair for innovation. Their professional relationship becomes strained as they compete for favor within the palace. The conflict eventually draws in the King (Yoo Yeon-seok) and the Queen (Park Shin-hye), leading to a series of events that impact the royal court.
Production
The film was produced by Yun Chang-suk and features a screenplay written by Lee Byung-hak and Yoo Young-a. Principal photography for the film commenced on February 21, 2014, and concluded on July 2, 2014.

At the 52nd Daejong Film Awards in 2015, the film was recognized for its technical achievements, winning in the categories of Best Costume Design and Best Art Design. Additionally, Park Shin-hye received the Most Popular Actress award at the 51st Baeksang Arts Awards.
