The Queen of Crime (Korean: 범죄의 여왕; RR: Beomjoeui Yeowang) is a 2016 South Korean thriller film directed by Lee Yo-Sub. The film, which explores themes of mystery within an apartment complex, was released on August 25, 2016, with a runtime of 103 minutes.

Plot

The story centers on Mi-Kyung, a woman who operates a small hair salon. Her son, Ik-Soo, is living in an apartment while preparing for the bar exam. When Mi-Kyung discovers that her son has received an unexpectedly high water bill of 1.2 million won, she travels to the apartment complex to investigate the discrepancy. Upon her arrival, she begins to suspect that there are deeper, more concerning issues occurring within the building.

Production

The film was written by Lee Yo-Sub and Jeon Go-Woon, with Jeon Go-Woon also serving as the producer. Principal photography for the project commenced on July 6, 2015, and concluded on August 11, 2015.
