The Princess and the Matchmaker
The Princess and the Matchmaker (Korean: 궁합; RR: Goonghab) is a 2018 South Korean period romantic comedy film directed by Hong Chang-pyo. The film explores themes of fate and marital harmony within the Joseon Dynasty.

Plot
Set during the Joseon Dynasty, the story follows Princess Songhwa, who refuses to accept her predetermined fate of marrying a man based solely on marital harmony signs. With four potential suitors identified, the princess decides to leave the palace to investigate the candidates herself. She encounters Seo Do-yoon, a skilled interpreter of marital harmony signs, who has been tasked with analyzing the compatibility between the princess and her prospective husbands.
Production
The film was produced by Lee Kang-jin, Ju Pil-jo, and Bang Mi-jung. Principal photography commenced on September 9, 2015, and concluded on December 23, 2015, in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The film was distributed by CJ Entertainment and released in South Korea on February 28, 2018.
