The Pot (2009)
The Pot (Korean: 독; RR: Dok) is a 2009 South Korean horror film written and directed by Kim Tae-gon. The film explores themes of psychological distress and domestic haunting within an urban setting.

Plot
The story centers on Young-guk (played by Lim Hyung-guk) and his wife, Young-ae (Yang Eun-yong). After selling their family inheritances, the couple relocates to a new apartment in the city to begin a fresh chapter of their lives. However, their transition is soon marred by inexplicable and unsettling occurrences within their home. As the situation escalates, their daughter, Mi-ae (Ryoo Hyun-bin), begins to display increasingly strange behavior, while the couple finds themselves surrounded by suspicious neighbors.
Production and Release
The film was produced by Joen Pil-do, with cinematography by Hong Sung-jin. The Pot held its world premiere at the 13th Pusan International Film Festival in October 2008, where it was featured in the New Currents section. It later had its international premiere at the 38th International Film Festival Rotterdam in early 2009. The film received a theatrical release in South Korea on August 20, 2009, with a runtime of 115 minutes.
