The People Upstairs (2025 Film)

The People Upstairs (Korean: 윗집 사람들; RR: Weetjib Saramdeul) is a South Korean film released on December 3, 2025. The film was directed by Ha Jung-Woo, who also contributed to the screenplay. The production was managed by Ryu Jeong-Hun and Jung So-Young, with cinematography by So Jeong-O.

Plot

The story follows Kim Jeong-A (played by Kong Hyo-Jin) and Oh Hyun-Soo (played by Kim Dong-Wook), a couple struggling with the monotony of their daily lives. Their primary source of frustration is the persistent noise emanating from the apartment above them, occupied by Kim Beom-Ryong (played by Ha Jung-Woo) and Choi Soo-Kyeong (played by Lee Ha-Nee).

Seeking a resolution to the ongoing disturbance, Kim Jeong-A invites the upstairs neighbors to dinner. As the two couples interact, the evening takes an unexpected turn when the upstairs couple presents a surprising proposition to their hosts.
