The Number You Have Dialed (Korean: 지금 거신 전화는) is a South Korean television series that blends mystery and romance. Directed by Park Sang-woo and written by Kim Ji-woon, the series is based on a web novel of the same name by Geoneomulnyeo, which was serialized on Kakao from November 2022 to January 2023. The show premiered on MBC on November 22, 2024.
Plot Synopsis
The story centers on Paik Sa-eon (Yoo Yeon-seok), a man from a prestigious political family who has built a career as a war correspondent, hostage negotiator, and presidential spokesman. He is married to Hong Hee-joo (Chae Soo-bin), the daughter of a newspaper proprietor. Hee-joo, who developed mutism following a childhood accident, works as a sign language interpreter. Despite their public appearance as a happily married couple, their relationship is one of convenience, marked by a lack of communication for three years. Their lives are upended when Hee-joo is kidnapped by an unidentified individual.

The series occupies the Friday and Saturday 21:50 time slot on MBC. Due to special news coverage regarding the South Korean presidential impeachment, the broadcast of episodes 5 and 6 was delayed from December 6–7, 2024, to December 13–14, 2024.
