The Many Faces of Ito (2018 Film)

The Many Faces of Ito (Japanese: 伊藤くん A to E) is a 2018 Japanese film directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. The film is based on the 2013 novel of the same name written by Asako Yuzuki and published by Gentosha.

Plot

The story centers on Seijiro Ito, a man characterized by his striking appearance and an overinflated ego. His life becomes entangled with five different women. Rio Yazaki, a screenwriter attempting to revive her career, seeks to exploit the unhappiness of others for her creative work, eventually crossing paths with Ito.

Production

The film was directed by Ryuichi Hiroki with a screenplay by Miho Aotsuka. Principal photography commenced in late July 2017 and concluded within one month. The film was distributed by Showgate and released in Japan on January 12, 2018.
