The Lawyers of the Great Republic of Korea (Korean: 대한민국 변호사; RR: Daehanminguk Byeonhosa) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from July 9 to September 4, 2008. The series consists of 16 episodes and was directed by Yoon Jae-Moon, with a screenplay written by Seo Sook-Hyang.

Plot

The story follows Woo Yi-kyung, who previously worked as a secretary at a major law firm. During her time there, she was in a long-term relationship with Byun Hyuk, a rising attorney at the same firm. After Byun Hyuk ends their relationship, Yi-kyung uses his law school textbooks to study for the bar exam. She eventually passes and opens her own small, independent law practice.

Her professional life becomes complicated when she takes on the case of Han Min-kook, who is embroiled in a high-stakes divorce lawsuit involving a significant financial settlement. The situation intensifies when she discovers that her client's ex-wife, Lee Ae-ri, is her close friend, and that the opposing counsel representing Ae-ri is her former partner, Byun Hyuk.
