The King's Dream (Korean: 대왕의 꿈; RR: Daewangwi Ggoom) is a South Korean historical television drama that aired on the KBS1 network. The series, which consists of 70 episodes, was broadcast from September 8, 2012, to June 9, 2013, occupying the Saturday and Sunday 21:40 time slot.
Plot and Historical Context
The narrative is set during the Shilla Dynasty, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. The story focuses on the political and military partnership between Kim Choon-Choo and Kim Yoo-Shin. The series depicts their efforts to unify the peninsula by destroying the Baekje kingdom, an achievement that is historically credited with fostering a golden age of culture within the Shilla Dynasty.

Production
The drama was directed by Shin Chang-Seok and Kim Sang-Hwi, with the screenplay written by Yoo Dong-Yoon. It followed the broadcast of Gwanggaeto, The Great Conqueror in the same time slot and was succeeded by Jeong DoJeon on January 4, 2014.
