The Kingdom of the Winds (Korean: 바람의 나라; RR: Baramui Nara) is a South Korean historical television drama that aired on KBS2 from September 10, 2008, to January 15, 2009. The series consists of 36 episodes and explores the life of King Daemushin, a monarch of the Goguryeo Kingdom.
Production and Background
The drama is based on the popular historical manhwa (cartoon) of the same name by Kim Jin. The production involved extensive location filming, including a period of over 40 days spent in China to capture large-scale battle sequences. The series was directed by Ji Byung-Hyun and Kang Il-Soo, with a screenplay written by Choi Wan-Kyu, Jeong Jin-Ok, and Park Jin-Woo.
