The King of Dramas (Korean: 드라마의 제왕; RR: Deuramaui Jaewang) is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from November 5, 2012, to January 7, 2013. The series provides a satirical and critical look at the television industry, focusing on the complex dynamics between production companies, screenwriters, and broadcasting networks.

Production
The series was directed by Hong Sung-Chang with a screenplay written by Jang Hang-Jun and Lee Ji-Hyo. Production activities commenced in late 2012, with the first script reading held on September 3, 2012, at the SBS Production Studio in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do. Principal photography began shortly thereafter on September 10, 2012.
The show occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot on SBS, succeeding the series Faith. Following its conclusion in January 2013, the time slot was taken over by Queen of Ambition.
Premise
The narrative centers on Anthony Kim, a ruthless and highly successful production executive known for his ability to secure funding and manage high-stakes drama projects. His career takes a downward turn following a controversial incident involving a product placement dispute and a fatal accident during a delivery rush. Three years later, while struggling to rebuild his career, Anthony discovers a potential project that could serve as his comeback, leading him to reconnect with a screenwriter he previously wronged.
