The Intimate (Korean: 애인; RR: Aein) is a 2005 South Korean romantic drama film directed by Kim Tae-Eun. The film explores the encounter between two strangers who decide to spend a single day together, despite the woman being engaged to another man after a seven-year relationship.

Plot

The narrative follows a man and a woman who meet by chance and choose to spend the day in each other's company. The woman, who has been in a long-term relationship of seven years and is currently engaged, finds herself experiencing a new emotional and physical connection with the stranger she met that day.

Production

The Intimate was directed by Kim Tae-Eun and written by Yoon Chang-Hoon. The film was produced by Kang Yeon-Joo and Jung Hyun, with cinematography by Kim Jae-Hoon. It was distributed by Showbox and released in South Korea on December 8, 2005. The film has a runtime of 98 minutes.
