The Guardians (2017 South Korean Television Series)
The Guardians, known in South Korea by its literal title Lookout (Korean: 파수꾼), is a 2017 South Korean television series broadcast by MBC. The action-thriller drama explores the lives of individuals who have lost loved ones to crimes that remain unpunished, leading them to form a vigilante group to pursue their own version of justice.
Production
The series was directed by Son Hyeong-Seok and Park Seung-Woo, with a screenplay written by Kim Soo-Eun and Park Hyo-Yeon. The production held its first script reading on March 29, 2017, at the MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. The series aired from May 22 to July 11, 2017, occupying the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot on MBC. It followed the conclusion of The Rebel and was succeeded by The King in Love.
