The Good Old Wives' Club (Korean: 조강지처 클럽; RR: Jokangjicheo Keulleob) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from September 29, 2007, to October 5, 2008. The series consists of 80 episodes and was broadcast on Saturday and Sunday nights at 21:55.

Production

The series was directed by Son Jung-Hyun and written by Moon Young-Nam. It explores themes surrounding marriage, infidelity, and the social dynamics of housewives in South Korean society.

Plot Summary

The narrative centers on the lives of several women who face betrayal within their marriages. Han Bok-Soo (played by Kim Hye-Sun) is a woman who supported her husband, Lee Ki-Jeok (Oh Dae-Gyu), through medical school by working as a fish seller. Despite her sacrifices, her husband treats her with disdain and eventually engages in an extramarital affair with a former girlfriend. Bok-Soo discovers that her brother, Han Won-Su (Ahn Nae-Sang), is also cheating on his wife and her best friend, Na Hwa-Shin (Oh Hyun-Kyung). Together with her mother, Ahn Yang-Sun (Kim Hae-Sook), who has personal experience with an unfaithful spouse, the women form a plan to confront their husbands.
