The Good Detective 2

The Good Detective 2 (Korean: 모범형사2; RR: Mobeomhyungsa 2) is a South Korean television series that aired on the JTBC network in 2022. It serves as the second season of the crime drama franchise that began with The Good Detective in 2020. The series was directed by Jo Nam-Kook and written by Choi Jin-Won.

The narrative follows the detectives of the West Incheon Police Violent Crimes Team 2, led by Kang Do-Chang (played by Son Hyun-Joo) and his partner Oh Ji-Hyeok (played by Jang Seung-Jo). The plot centers on their investigation into a series of murders involving victims dressed in white, alongside a separate case involving a brutal assault at a Gangnam host club linked to the influential TJ Group.

Production and Release

The series premiered on July 30, 2022, and concluded on September 18, 2022. It occupied the Saturday and Sunday 22:30 time slot on JTBC. Production for the series was completed in May 2022. It followed the drama Cleaning Up and was succeeded by The Empire.
