The Golden Spoon (Korean: 금수저; RR: Geumsujeo) is a South Korean television series that aired on MBC from September 23 to November 12, 2022. The drama, which consists of 16 episodes, was broadcast in the Friday and Saturday 21:50 time slot. It is based on the webcomic Geumsujeo by the author known as gp04fb, which was serialized on Naver from June 11, 2016, to June 16, 2018.
Plot
The story follows Lee Seung-Cheon, a high school student struggling with poverty who encounters an elderly woman. She offers him a magical gold spoon for $3, claiming that if he uses it to eat three meals at the home of someone his own age, he can swap parents with that person. Driven by his desire to escape his impoverished life, Seung-Cheon uses the spoon at the home of his wealthy friend, Hwang Tae-Yong, leading to a life-altering exchange of identities.
