The Foreign Duck, the Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker (Japanese: Ahiru to kamo no koinrokka) is a 2007 Japanese mystery-drama film directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura. The screenplay, written by Nakamura and Kenichi Suzuki, is based on the novel of the same name by Kotaro Isaka.

Plot
The narrative follows Shiina, a university freshman who moves into a new apartment in Sendai. He soon encounters his neighbor, Kawasaki, who shares his interest in the music of Bob Dylan. Kawasaki recruits Shiina to assist in a plan to steal a Kojien dictionary for a Bhutanese exchange student living nearby. As the plot unfolds, the story explores the complex relationships between the characters, including a woman named Kotomi and a local pet shop owner named Reiko, while utilizing a non-linear structure that incorporates flashbacks.
Production and Release
The film was produced by Yasushi Utagawa and Hitoshi Endo. It was released in Japan on June 23, 2007, with a runtime of 110 minutes. The film was distributed by Xanadeux. Following its domestic release, it was featured at international events, including the 2008 Nippon Connection and the 12th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival.
