The Fiery Priest 2 (Korean: 열혈사제2; RR: Yeolhyeolsaje 2) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from November 8 to December 27, 2024. It serves as the sequel to the 2019 series The Fiery Priest, featuring the return of the central protagonist, Father Kim Hae-Il.
Plot
The story follows Kim Hae-Il, a Catholic priest known for his volatile temper and unwavering commitment to justice. In this installment, he travels to Busan to investigate a drug trafficking case that originated in the Gudam district of Seoul. He is joined in his pursuit by Prosecutor Park Kyung-Sun, Detective Gu Dae-Young of the Gudam Police Station, and Detective Gu Ja-Young, a new ally based in Busan.
Production
The series was directed by Park Bo-Ram and written by Park Jae-Bum. It occupied the Friday and Saturday 22:00 time slot on SBS, succeeding The Judge from Hell. During its broadcast, the schedule for episodes 10 and 11 was adjusted due to news coverage regarding the South Korean presidential impeachment situation.
