The Fault Is Not Yours (Korean: 어제 일은 모두 괜찮아; RR: Eoje Ileun Modu Gwaenchanha) is a 2019 South Korean drama film directed by Lee Seong-Han. The film explores the challenges faced by troubled youth and the efforts of a dedicated teacher to support them.

Plot

The story follows Min-Jae, a teacher who takes a deep interest in the well-being of his students. He focuses his attention on three students—Ji-Geun, Yong-Ju, and Hyeon-Jeong—who feel neglected by their families and the school system. When their friend Su-Yeon finds herself in a difficult situation, Ji-Geun and Yong-Ju attempt to intervene, leading to a crisis that prompts Min-Jae to take action to protect them.

Production

The film is based on the autobiographical essay Yomawari Sensei by Osamu Mizutani, which was originally published in 2004. Lee Seong-Han served as the director, writer, and producer for the project. The film was released in South Korea on November 21, 2019, with a total runtime of 107 minutes.
