The Dragon King Protects

The Dragon King Protects (Korean: 용왕님 보우하사; RR: Yongwangnim Bowoohasa) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from January 14 to July 12, 2019. The series was broadcast in the Monday to Friday 19:15 time slot, succeeding the series Secrets and Lies.

The narrative is loosely inspired by the traditional Korean folk story The Tale of Shim Chong. The plot centers on Sim Chung-Yi (played by Lee So-Yeon), a woman with an extraordinary ability to perceive thousands of colors, and her relationship with Ma Poong-Do (played by Jae Hee), a skilled pianist who struggles with emotional expression. As the story progresses, Sim Chung-Yi embarks on a journey to uncover the truth regarding her father's history.
