The Chronicles of Evil (2015 Film)
The Chronicles of Evil (Korean: 악의 연대기; RR: Akui Yeondaegi) is a 2015 South Korean thriller film written and directed by Baek Woon-Hak. The film explores themes of guilt, moral compromise, and the consequences of corruption within the police force.

Plot
The story follows Detective Squad Chief Choi, played by Son Hyun-Joo, a highly respected officer on the verge of a significant promotion. Following a celebratory gathering with his colleagues, Choi is involved in a fatal incident that results in the death of a man. Fearing that the scandal would jeopardize his career and impending promotion, he decides to cover up the crime.
The following morning, Choi is shocked to discover that the body of the man he killed has been found hanging from a construction crane in the city. As the lead investigator assigned to the case, Choi finds himself in the precarious position of managing an investigation into a murder he committed, all while attempting to conceal his own involvement.
Production
The film was produced by Choi Won-Ki and distributed by CJ Entertainment. Principal photography for the project commenced on June 29, 2014, and concluded on September 19, 2014.
