The Birth of a Family (Korean: 가족의 탄생; RR: Kajogui Tansaeng) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from December 5, 2012, to May 17, 2013. The series was broadcast in the Monday to Friday 19:15 time slot, succeeding Still You and preceding Ugly Alert.
Plot
The story follows Lee Soo-jung (Lee So-yeon), a warm-hearted woman who begins working at a home shopping network. Her life undergoes a significant transition following the sudden death of her father in a fire, leaving her responsible for her mother and her younger brother, Soo-ho (Kim Jin-woo).
At her workplace, Soo-jung encounters Kang Yoon-jae (Lee Gyu-han), a former judge who has transitioned into a career at the home shopping company. Despite initial friction between the two, they eventually develop a romantic relationship. Their connection is complicated by the interference of Ma Ye-ri (Lee Chae-young), the daughter of the company president, who has long harbored feelings for Yoon-jae and attempts to use her status to influence the situation.
