The Bequeathed (Korean: 선산; RR: Sunsan) is a South Korean mystery-thriller television series released on Netflix on January 19, 2024. The series consists of six episodes and was directed by Min Hong-Nam, with a screenplay written by Yeon Sang-Ho, Min Hong-Nam, and Hwang Eun-Young.
Plot
The story follows Yoon Seo-Ha (Kim Hyun-Joo), who inherits a family gravesite following the death of her uncle. Shortly after this inheritance, she becomes entangled in a series of mysterious and inauspicious incidents. Her situation is further complicated by the appearance of her younger step-brother, Kim Young-Ho (Ryu Kyung-Soo), whose presence adds to her growing confusion.
Simultaneously, Detective Choi Sung-Jun (Park Hee-Soon) begins investigating a string of incidents in the local village, suspecting a connection to the family gravesite. Within the police department, Choi faces professional tension with his superior, Park Sang-Min (Park Byung-Eun), who harbors long-standing jealousy and feelings of inferiority toward him due to a past case.
