The Beast and the Beauty (Korean: 야수와 미녀; RR: Yasuwa Minyeo) is a 2005 South Korean romantic comedy film directed by Lee Gye-Byeok. The film explores themes of self-esteem, deception, and romantic perception.

Plot
Ku Dong-Gun is a man struggling with low self-esteem, largely due to a facial scar. His life changes when he encounters Jang Hae-Joo, a blind woman who mistakes his car for a taxi. Dong-Gun falls in love with her and, fearing rejection due to his appearance, decides to hide his true identity. He becomes her companion, describing the world to her while pretending to be a handsome man named Jun-Ha, whom he admired in high school.
Their relationship lasts for three years until Hae-Joo receives news that a corneal transplant may restore her sight. As the surgery approaches, Dong-Gun faces the prospect of his deception being revealed. The situation becomes more complex when the real Jun-Ha enters their lives and also develops feelings for Hae-Joo.
