The Accidental Detective (2015 Film)
The Accidental Detective (Korean: 탐정: 더 비기닝; RR: Tamjung: Deo Bigining) is a 2015 South Korean comedy-crime film directed by Kim Jung-Hoon. The screenplay, written by Kim Jung-Hoon and Lee Jung-Ho, was based on a script that won the 8th Makdong Scenario Contest in 2006.

Plot
The story follows Kang Dae-Man (Kwon Sang-Woo), a comic book store owner and amateur sleuth who frequently visits the local police station to offer his unsolicited opinions on ongoing investigations. His behavior is a constant source of frustration for the seasoned Detective No (Sung Dong-Il). The dynamic between the two shifts when Dae-Man's friend and detective, Joon-Soo (Park Hae-Joon), is arrested for murder. To clear his friend's name, Dae-Man and Detective No form an unlikely partnership to solve the case, which becomes increasingly complex as a second murder occurs.
Production
Principal photography for the film commenced on March 29, 2015, in South Korea and concluded on June 26, 2015. The film was distributed by CJ Entertainment and has a runtime of 120 minutes.
