Ten no Hakobune

Ten no Hakobune (Japanese: 天の方舟), also known by its English title Heaven's Ark, is a Japanese television drama series that aired on the WOWOW network. The series consists of five episodes and was broadcast from December 9, 2012, to January 13, 2013, in the Sunday 22:00 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Nanami Kurotani, a university student who grew up in a farming family. Her family faced significant financial hardship following the destruction caused by an earthquake and a lack of government support. While working at a bar to support herself, Nanami encounters a young construction company president and his subordinate, Kazuki Miyazato. She discovers their involvement in Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects and becomes intrigued by the opaque financial dealings surrounding international aid. Seeking to improve her circumstances, Nanami approaches Miyazato to propose a deal.
