Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938

Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 is a South Korean fantasy drama series that aired in 2023. It serves as a follow-up to the 2020 series Tale of the Nine Tailed. The series was directed by Kang Shin-Hyo and written by Han Woo-Ri, with a broadcast run on the network tvN from May 6 to June 11, 2023.

Plot

The story follows Lee Yeon (Lee Dong-Wook), who is unexpectedly transported back in time to the year 1938. During his journey, he encounters Ryu Hong-Joo (Kim So-Yeon), a former mountain guardian spirit who now operates a high-end restaurant called Myoyeongak in Gyeongseong. The narrative also explores his complex relationship with his brother, Lee Rang, and his former friend-turned-adversary, Cheon Mu-Young (Ryu Kyung-Soo). Lee Yeon must navigate this historical setting while seeking a way to return to the present day.
