Takuro Oikawa

Takuro Oikawa (及川拓郎) is a Japanese film and television director and screenwriter.

Career

Takuro Oikawa has directed and written numerous Japanese feature films and television drama series. His directorial filmography includes works such as Shuffle (2011), Kankin Tantei (2013), and I Don't Have Many Friends (2014), which is based on the media franchise. In addition to his film projects, he has directed episodes for various prominent Japanese television networks including TV Asahi, Fuji TV, TV Tokyo, NTV, and TBS.

His television drama directing credits span a wide range of genres, including mystery, legal drama, and procedural series such as multiple seasons of Seven Detectives (Keiji 7 nin), The Quiz Show (2008), Midnight Diner (2009), Attorney Sodom (2023), and Crossroad: Kyumei Kyuukyuu no Yakusoku (2026). Alongside directing, Oikawa has contributed as a screenwriter for several of his film and television projects, such as Samulife (2015) and Matching Love (2014).
