Superstar Mr. Gam
Superstar Mr. Gam (Korean: 슈퍼스타 감사용; RR: Syupeoseuta Gamsayong) is a 2004 South Korean sports drama film directed by Kim Jong-hyeon. The film is based on the life of professional baseball player Gam Sa-yong, who played for the Sammi Superstars during the inaugural 1982 season of the Korea Professional Baseball (KBO) League.

Plot
Set in 1982, the film follows Gam Sa-yong (played by Lee Beom-soo), an amateur player who joins the Sammi Superstars, a newly formed professional team. Despite the team's ambitious name, they struggle significantly during their first season. Gam, a left-handed pitcher, is primarily utilized as a relief pitcher in games that are already effectively lost. The narrative centers on his persistent efforts to prove himself, culminating in a pivotal opportunity to face the OB Bears, the league's top-performing team, and their ace pitcher, Park Cheol-su (played by Gong Yoo).
