Super Daddy Yul

Super Daddy Yul (Korean: 슈퍼대디 열) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN in 2015. The drama, which consists of 16 episodes, was broadcast on Fridays and Saturdays at 20:30. It premiered on March 13, 2015, and concluded on May 2, 2015.

Plot

The story follows Doctor Cha Mi-rae, a single mother who receives a terminal cancer diagnosis and is informed she has approximately one year to live. Seeking to secure a future for her daughter, Cha Sa-rang, she attempts to transform her former love, Han Yul, into an ideal father figure.

Production

The series is based on the webcomic Shoopeodaedi Yeol, written by Lee Sang-hoon and Jin Hyo-mi, which was published on Daum Webtoon from October 11, 2011, to March 12, 2012. The television adaptation was directed by Song Hyun-wook, with the screenplay written by Kim Gyeong-se.

Production activities began in early 2015. The first script reading was held on February 10, 2015, at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul. Filming for the series commenced shortly thereafter on February 12, 2015.
