Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Sungkyunkwan Scandal is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from August 30 to November 2, 2010. Set during the Joseon Dynasty, the series follows the lives and friendships of four students attending Sungkyunkwan, the highest educational institution of the era.

Plot
The story centers on Kim Yun-hee, a young woman who disguises herself as her brother to support her family. She eventually enters the prestigious Sungkyunkwan academy, a space traditionally reserved for men. During her time at the institution, she forms complex relationships with three fellow students: the principled and privileged Lee Seon-joon, the charismatic and observant Ku Yong-ha, and the impulsive, rebellious Moon Jae-sin.
Production and Background
The series is based on the 2007 novel Sungkyunkwan Yoosaengdeului Nanal, written by Jung Eun-gwol. The television adaptation was directed by Kim Won-suk and Hwang In-hyuk, with a screenplay by Kim Tae-hee. The show occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot on KBS2, succeeding Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho and preceding Marry Me, Mary!.
The production achieved significant commercial interest, with broadcast rights for the series sold to Japan for approximately 2.7 billion won (roughly $2.4 million USD).
