Stone Skipping (Korean: 돌멩이; RR: Dolmengi) is a 2020 South Korean drama film directed and written by Kim Jung-Sik. The film explores themes of social prejudice and the vulnerability of individuals within a small community.

Plot
The story centers on Seok-Goo (Kim Dae-Myung), a man in his thirties who possesses the mental capacity of an eight-year-old. He operates a rice mill in a rural village where he is supported by local residents. His life changes when he encounters Eun-Ji (Jeon Chae-Eun), a young girl who has run away from home. After Seok-Goo assists her during a misunderstanding at a village event, the two form an unlikely friendship. While Teacher Kim (Song Yoon-A), who works at the shelter where Eun-Ji resides, initially expresses concern regarding their relationship, a local Catholic priest (Kim Eui-Sung) attempts to mediate. The narrative reaches a turning point following an incident involving Eun-Ji at Seok-Goo's rice mill.
Production and Release
The film was directed by Kim Jung-Sik and produced by Song Dae-Chan. Principal photography took place in 2018. The film held its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in October 2018. It was later released theatrically in South Korea on September 30, 2020, with a runtime of 107 minutes.
