Star's Lover (Korean: 스타의 연인; RR: Seutaui Yeonin) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from December 10, 2008, to February 12, 2009. The series consists of 20 episodes and was broadcast in the Wednesday and Thursday 21:55 time slot, succeeding The Painter of Wind.
Plot
The narrative centers on Lee Ma-ri, a prominent actress, and Kim Chul-soo, a literature scholar who serves as her ghostwriter. Ma-ri is known for her bestselling travel essay, Lovers in Asuka, which was secretly written by Chul-soo. Their lives become intertwined when Ma-ri seeks to improve her cultural knowledge and hires Chul-soo as a private tutor. As their professional relationship evolves, they navigate personal challenges, including the influence of Ma-ri's past relationships and the pressures of public scrutiny.
Production
The series is notable for being the television drama debut of actor Yoo Ji-tae. Production also achieved a milestone by filming scenes at Seoul National University, marking the first time the institution permitted a commercial film or television production on its campus in its 65-year history at the time of filming.
