Special Investigation Unit (2011 Film)
Special Investigation Unit (Korean: 특수본; RR: Teuksoobon) is a 2011 South Korean crime action film directed by Hwang Byeng-Gug. The film follows two detectives with contrasting investigative styles who are forced to collaborate on a high-stakes murder case involving police corruption.

Plot
The story begins when a police officer is found murdered near an abandoned building, with drugs discovered at the crime scene. To handle the sensitive nature of the case, a special investigation unit is formed. Kim Sung-Bum (Uhm Tae-Woong), a seasoned, hot-tempered detective who relies heavily on instinct, is assigned to the team. He is joined by Kim Ho-Ryong (Joo Won), a young, methodical criminal profiler trained by the FBI in the United States who prioritizes empirical evidence over intuition. The two clash immediately due to their differing professional philosophies.
As the investigation progresses, the duo tracks the source of the drugs to a local neighborhood, leading to a confrontation with suspects. Their interrogation of a witness reveals a connection to a Korean woman involved in the drug trade. As they pursue this lead, they uncover evidence suggesting that the conspiracy may involve members of their own police force.
