Soushi Matsumoto - Japanese Film and Television Director

Soushi Matsumoto (Japanese: 松本壮史) is a Japanese film and television director and screenwriter. He has worked on various productions across Japanese cinema and television, contributing to both directing and screenwriting roles.

Career

Matsumoto's career spans feature-length films and television drama series. In 2021, he directed and wrote the feature film The Aobas' Dining Table (Aobake no Table). That same year, he directed and co-wrote the television series Omimi ni Aimashitara for TV Tokyo.

His subsequent television directing credits include the WOWOW drama series Nagatan to Ao to: Ichika no Ryoricho in 2023, the Netflix series Chastity High (Renai: Battle Royale) in 2024, and its continuation, Nagatan to Ao to: Ichika no Ryoricho 2, scheduled for 2026.
