Soaring High (2007)

Soaring High (Korean: 날아오르다; RR: Nalaoreuda) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from August 24 to October 26, 2007. The series consists of 20 episodes and was broadcast on Friday nights at 20:55.

Plot

The narrative centers on Lee Jin-hee, a 30-year-old housewife living in a traditional family clan house. Despite her environment, she maintains a modern lifestyle, often clashing with the expectations of her in-laws. Her husband is in a coma, and she takes on the responsibility of covering his medical expenses by managing the production and supply of the family's traditional Baekhwa wine to a high-end department store.

Conflict arises when James O’Neill, a general manager at the department store, attempts to cancel the wine supply contract, viewing the product as commercially unviable. The series follows the evolving relationship between Lee Jin-hee and James O’Neill as they navigate their professional disagreements and personal lives.
