Plot

The story follows Yeo Jang-Boo, portrayed by Cha Tae-Hyun, a man who possesses extraordinary visual acuity that allows him to perceive details invisible to the average person. Due to his condition, he faced social challenges during his youth and spent two decades living in isolation, primarily watching television dramas. Eventually, he re-enters society and secures a position at a CCTV control center, where his unique ability makes him an effective operator.

Production

Slow Video represents the third collaboration between director Kim Young-Tak and actor Cha Tae-Hyun. Their previous joint projects include the 2008 film BA:BO, for which Kim served as the screenwriter, and the 2010 film Hello Ghost, which Kim directed and scripted. Principal photography for Slow Video commenced on October 23, 2013, with actress Nam Sang-Mi joining the production following the completion of her work on the television series Goddess of Marriage.
