Sketch (2018 South Korean Television Series)

Sketch is a South Korean action-thriller television series that aired on the cable network JTBC in 2018. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Friday and Saturday nights at 23:00, running from May 25 to July 14, 2018.

Plot

The narrative centers on Detective Kang Dong-soo, played by Rain, whose life is upended by the mysterious death of his fiancée. He joins forces with a female detective, Yoo Shi-hyun (Lee Sun-bin), who possesses the supernatural ability to see three days into the future. She documents these visions through sketches. Together, they work to prevent crimes before they occur and track down the person responsible for the death of Kang's fiancée. The plot also follows Kim Do-jin (Lee Dong-gun), a former special forces operative who seeks vengeance after the murder of his pregnant wife.

Production

The series was directed by Im Tae-woo, with a screenplay written by Kang Hyun-sung and Im Young-bin. The first script reading for the production took place in March 2018 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul. Principal photography for the series commenced on March 10, 2018. The drama occupied the Friday and Saturday 23:00 time slot on JTBC, following the conclusion of Something in the Rain and preceding ID: Gangnam Beauty.
