Shomuni 2013
Shomuni 2013 (Japanese: ショムニ 2013) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV from July 10 to September 18, 2013. It serves as a revival of the popular Shomuni franchise, which originally debuted in 1998 and is based on the manga series by Hiroyuki Yasuda.

Background and Plot
The series returns to the setting of the Manpan Corporation, where the "General Affairs Section 2" (shomuni) has historically served as a place for employees deemed useless by the company. A decade after the original team left, the corporation faces significant challenges due to Japan's long-term economic depression and subsequent restructuring efforts.
The narrative centers on Shiori Maruyama, a former pole vault athlete struggling to adapt to corporate life. Viewed as incompetent by her colleagues, she encounters the legendary Chinatsu Tsuboi, leading to the revival of the General Affairs Section 2. The new team, composed of women who prioritize their own values over traditional corporate expectations, begins to challenge the company's rigid structure.
Cast
The series features a mix of returning and new cast members. Makiko Esumi reprises her role as the iconic Chinatsu Tsuboi.

Production
The series was directed by Masayuki Suzuki and Yoshinori Kobayashi, with a screenplay by Kentaro Ushio. It aired in the Wednesday 22:00 time slot on Fuji TV and consisted of 10 episodes.
