Shojiki Fudosan, internationally known as The Honest Realtor, is a Japanese feature film released on May 15, 2026. Directed by Yasuhiro Kawamura, the film is distributed by Sony Pictures with a runtime of 119 minutes. The project draws from the manga series of the same name written by Takeshi Natsuhara and Mitsuhiro Mizuno, with illustrations by Akira Otani, which first appeared in the manga magazine Big Comic on June 9, 2017.
Plot Synopsis
Saichi Nagase works as a real estate agent who previously relied on deceptive sales tactics without hesitation. His professional life changes completely after he causes a shrine monument to be destroyed, which results in a sudden curse preventing him from telling lies. Although his sales figures initially plummet, Nagase attempts to rebuild customer trust through absolute honesty. He works alongside co-worker Sakura Tsukishita, who consistently prioritizes the needs and best interests of her clients.
