Shogo Kusano

Shogo Kusano (草野翔吾) is a Japanese film director and screenwriter known for his work across Japanese cinema and television drama series.

Career and Works

Shogo Kusano has directed and written numerous feature films and television dramas. His directorial filmography includes Mogera Wogura (2009), Empty (2012), which he also produced and wrote, Bittersweet (2016), The Longest Photo in The World (2018), What She Likes (2021), Aimitagai (2024), and Under the Big Onion (2025).

In addition to his film projects, Kusano has directed several television series, such as Bishonure Tantei Mizuno Hagoromo (2019), Vanishing My First Love (2021), Keshigomu wo Kureta Joshi wo Suki ni Natta (2022), Turn To Me Mukai-kun (2023), Tamiou R (2024), and the Netflix series S to X (2026).
