Shiromeshi Shugyoso
Shiromeshi Shugyoso (Japanese: しろめし修行僧), also known by its English title White Rice Trainee Monk, is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TV Tokyo in 2022. The series follows the journey of a trainee monk who travels across Japan, encountering various culinary experiences centered around white rice.
Production and Broadcast
The series was directed by Takuro Oikawa and Kenji Kuwajima, with a screenplay written by Nonji Nemoto. It consisted of 12 episodes and was broadcast on TV Tokyo's Friday 24:12 time slot. The series premiered on April 8, 2022, and concluded on June 24, 2022. It succeeded the drama Shijukara in the same time slot and was followed by Snow Crab.
