Shadows in the Palace (2007 Film)
Shadows in the Palace (Korean: 궁녀; RR: Gungnyeo) is a 2007 South Korean mystery film directed by Kim Mee-Jeung. Set within the royal palace during the Joseon Dynasty, the film follows a court nurse who uncovers a conspiracy surrounding the suspicious death of a palace maid.

Plot
The story begins when court nurse Chun-Ryung (Park Jin-Hee) is summoned to the quarters of the royal concubine Hee-Bin (Yoon Se-Ah). A maid named Wol-Ryung (Seo Young-Hee) has been found dead, hanging in her quarters. Although the supervising staff demands the death be ruled a suicide to prevent a scandal, Chun-Ryung suspects foul play. Upon performing an autopsy, she discovers that the deceased had recently given birth, a violation of the strict chastity rules imposed on palace maids. This revelation leads Chun-Ryung to conduct a clandestine investigation into the murder.
