Seven Years of Night (2018 Film)
Seven Years of Night (Korean: 7년의 밤) is a 2018 South Korean thriller film directed by Choo Chang-min. The film is an adaptation of the 2011 novel of the same name written by Jung Yoo-jung.
Plot
The story follows Choi Hyun-soo, a man who, while working as a dam management team leader, accidentally kills a young girl in a hit-and-run incident at Seryeong Village. Consumed by guilt and the consequences of his actions, his life spirals into chaos. Years later, the victim's father, Oh Young-je, seeks a calculated and brutal revenge against Hyun-soo and his son, Seo-won.
Production
The film was directed by Choo Chang-min, with a screenplay co-written by Choo, Kim Yoo-pyung, and Lee Yong-yeon. Principal photography commenced on November 19, 2015, and concluded on May 25, 2016, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The film was distributed by CJ Entertainment and released in South Korea on March 28, 2018.
